The cold steel chair is bolted to the ground in the middle of the room. The chains around Cobra restrict him from any movement along with the duct tape and bindings. The piercingly sharp blade is still at cobra’s neck, the man’s other hand still full of hair. The pacing of the man in front of him stops. A click is heard and an old television flickers on, not that cobra can see it through the… whatever it is on his head but he does see the bright light coming from the dark room.

A man on the television begins to speak and all of it is so far meaningless to Cobra’s ears. He does notice a familiar voice, that of Alex Shawn his opponent on Madness this week. Still nothing but bullshit is spewing from his mouth until cobra hears the interviewer speak.

Interviewer
“….It’s not Crimson Cobra but it is close. Everyone please welcome…MAMA COBRA!”

Wait… what? Did they just say my mother is going to be on this talk show? There was no way.

Crimson Cobra sits back and listens with high hopes.

Mama
“Why hello there Alex. I am Crimson’s mother, but he likes to call me mama.”

Crimson Cobra immediately tunes out the television screen. His thoughts return to escaping from the clutches of the blade on his neck and the man standing watching the television. He doesn’t even think about the man who was obviously dressed as a women to imitate Cobra’s dead mother.

The man standing in front of Crimson lets out a single evil, deep chuckle at the ridiculousness that Cobra’s opponent went through to have this stunt done on live tv. He then begins to speak.

???
“Crimson Cobra huh? You choose to pick the name of a snake that killed your mother? What does that say about you boy?

Coward… or… Courageous?”

The man’s voice seems to be familiar as well, it must be the demon possessing his father. But something is off. The voice has less bass to it, more humanly sounding, more like…. His actual father.

Russell Cobb
“Yes Dakota it is I, your father. But not these visions you have been having of some type of demon overtaking me. This is the real me.”

The stocking is ripped from Cobra’s head and the blade removed from his neck. He sees his father dressed in all black, a black trench coat, black under shirt, black pants, and black shoes. The man standing before him looks as if he was ready to kill someone.

The room looked like something from a saw movie, pipes running everywhere, a random television set up in the middle of the room, and a psycho killer.

Russell Cobb
“It’s a shame that someone would actually make fun of the dead on national television. I would tell you good luck and I hope you destroy the kid….But I don’t see you making it to your next match.”

Russell’s face shows a growing evil grin that looks eerily similar to that of Heyman’s. Dakota’s father begins to make his way to him slowly stepping and listening to the sound of his foot hitting the floor echo before stepping again.

Russell Cobb
“I find it funny, how you have become more obsessed with defeating a man in a wrestling match than you were with finding your own father!

Maybe it’s not funny… no that is not the word I am looking for it’s actually quite sad. You have thought more about getting your revenge on Alex Shawn than you have thought about battling your inner demons, fighting personal battles, things that actually matter like me being here right now.”

Russ continues towards Crimson Cobra, building anticipation with every step. He still stands about five feet away and he stops. He looks his son dead in the eyes no breaking the eye contact for even a second.

Russell Cobb
“I don’t know how much you know.

I don’t know what they told you.

All I know….

IS that I WILL kill you before I leave here.”

These words cut deeper than any blade could get inside of Dakota. His heart aches for half a second and the hairs are standing up on the back of his neck. A flash back comes to his mind when the demons made his father kill himself, but that ended up just being another alternate reality that he seems to continue being pulled into.

This was not one of those situations, the chains they were too heavy and the tape too tight, this was all real and Dakota knew this was where he would actually have to destroy his father. The man who tormented his dreams for years, the man who ruined his life, he was going to be no more soon enough.

Cobra was having great thoughts until he remembered that he couldn’t even flex his muscles from how tightly he had been restrained.

How am I going to escape?

Who is the other person here?

How am I going to kill him….

….Kill both of them, before they touch me?

The questions rush through the snake’s mind and a million different outcomes of this situation play through his head. He can’t continue playing scenarios when his father finally rests his hands upon Crimson’s shoulders. Cobra looks up towards his father’s face and sees it through the cloud that is released from his mouth, it is so could in this room that he can see his own breath. His father is looking past Cobra and back to the person that is wearing the black hooded robes.

All that Crimson Cobra can do is sit and listen to the rummaging that is going on completely unaware of what this person is doing. His father drops his head to look at his boy, from a blank face to a grimace showing his upmost hatred for the man he has kidnapped.

SMACK!

A cold, hard, fleshy slap crosses Cobra’s face. Almost instantaneously the white skin grows a light red and the sound of the slap can be heard as it echoes down the dark hallway. Cobra is trying as hard as he can to hold back the anger, being tied up and bound to a chair would be no place to be when insulting another man.

The hooded person behind Cobra begins to walk around to the front of the chair. A drill is in the hands of this person, it begins to rev up and the sound makes Cobra wince as he knows that it is about to be used to punish him.

The person takes a few steps getting closer until he is close enough to place the drill right by Cobra’s ear and let him listen to the pain he is about to endure. His father is standing, watching, and manically laughing at the face of pain Dakota is already wearing before the drill has even touched him.

The drill is pulled up into the air and angled down towards Cobra’s knees, his eyes squeezed shut and fists clinched closed he is ready or so he thinks.

Before Cobra can say a word the drill is in motion to penetrate his knee!

But with his eyes closed he waits and feels no pain, he no longer hears a drill revving. Crimson Cobra only hears what sounds like a man being punched and his eyes open immediately.

There is a third figure in the room now as if he… or it had appeared out of nowhere.

Russell Cobb
“What is this?”

Dakota is now confused if this third man wasn’t with his father then who was he and why was he here.

The man is still on top of the hooded figure viciously attacking and making strange noises. But these noises Cobra can remember, a memory he never wanted to remember but it may have just saved his life. The hooded figure lay unconscious on the ground as the man on top stood to his feet. From the back Cobra already knew who he was. The man turned to face Crimson Cobra and there was only slight shock when Crimson then saw two of the same men standing in the room before him.

The demon was back, but it had just saved Cobra’s knees, why it would do that Cobra never knew.

Two Russell Cobbs standing in the same room together, one looking slightly younger more energetic yet lacking a soul, while the other one, the real Russell Cobb stood looking more as an elder, showing his age with wrinkles around his face and bags under his eyes. The real Russell wanted only one thing right now and that was ruined by this impostor!

Demon
“Why look at this…

It isn’t even a fair fight, you have him all strapped up to a seat like that and for what?

…you to torture him?”

The bass that Russell’s voice was lacking had come back, the demon was truly here and had really saved Crimson Cobra, the weirdest was yet to come as the demon, with the rise of an arm, had released Crimson Cobra from his bindings and made it possible for him to stand.

Crimson Cobra slowly stood to his feet still confused and unable to see very clearly in the room light only by an old television screen. Cobra begins to make his way behind the demon that before made his life hell is interrupted by him speaking.

Demon
“Don’t think that this changed anything Cobra. I am only here because it is my work to torture you not this buffoon’s.”

Cobra stops dead in his tracks looking at both men, he is confused but puts his fists up ready to defend himself if needed. But before he can even blink the demon turns into a cloud of black smoke and disappears with Cobra’s father. The smoke trail leads out towards a hallway and Crimson Cobra assumes that is the way to follow to find the two. A deep breath is inhaled and he starts to follow the black smoke.
