El Rey is at a local medical facility recovering from the ambush at the hands of some losers. Yes he still has his mask on and he is accompanied by The Guide
Guide: So I talked to the doctor and your free to go whenever you feel ready.
El Rey: (growls) Grrr!
Guide: Don't go there! First Nightmare now the ambush. Why do you keep harping on Marduk? These guys have nothing to do with Marduk!
El Rey: (growls) Grrr!
Guide: Look, he was one of your greatest rivals. As well as one of your greatest partners, Look you could have stayed with him in Japan, but no you decided to come here.
FLASHBACK
The monster that is CRAIG MARDUK

After being fired from a territory in Mexico, El Rey went across the country doing wrestling shows until he had enough money to go to Japan like he first intended. Once there, he worked his way through smaller territories, until being noticed by a semi-large wrestling company in Japan. He just got there and was being shown the ropes by an American wrestler there named Michael.
Michael: And this is our dressing room.
El Rey sees a poster on the nearby wall that catches his attention.

El Rey(king): What's this?
Michael: You don't know? That the Mishima Zaibatsu! They are a company of "investors" that secretly run pro wrestling here in Japan. They're also rumored to be Mafia. They also run unsanctioned Deathmatches for large bets underground. So just stay off their radar at all cost King!
El Rey(king): Alright. What else do I need to know?
Michael: Well you go out there and put on a good show, listen to the veterans and you'll do just fine... oh and stay away from Marduk.
El Rey(king): Why?
Michael: He's a monster! He is built as a this unbeatable strongman with a legit MMA background. And if you open your mouth to any of the BS that goes on around here, then they will book you against him.
El Rey(King): Well isn't that good?
Michael: Hell no! Marduk is very unstable. He not only is undefeated in the company, but I think his underground record is 4-0. That's 4 kills. He 'shoots' almost regularly, I mean if he doesn't like you he will destory you in there. Rules be damned. He has caused so many career ending injuries. Hence why you have been called up. Everytime someone is forced out of pro wrestling by this guy, they just keep hiring new guys trying to make it in Japan. So far I've managed to dodge the bullet, just because a know quite a few Veterans.
Just then Marduk walks in the locker room. He spots El Rey (King) and walks right up to El Rey(King) and they have a stare-off, exactly like the one El Rey had with Nightmare recently.
Marduk: Rookie huh?
Marduk swiftly punches El Rey (King) in the face, very much like the sledgehammer shot he suffered on Warfare, but with his fist. El Rey (King) falls to the floor from the devestating cheapshot!
Michael: Come on Marduk...
Marduk: You shut up! So rookie, welcome to my turf! This is Marduk's company. Do you have a problem with that?
Michael: Marduk leave him alone, he didn't do anything to you.
Marduk: I told you to shut up!
Marduk punches Michael into the lockers. Then throws him aginst the lockers again before hurling him to the other side of the room!
Marduk: You got good distance. I'll be sure to talk the bosses into letting us finally wrestle tonight!
Michael: No Marduk! Please?!
Michael was pretty much begging for his life because at this point, because a wrestling match against Marduk is a death sentence.
El Rey (King): You can't fight him, because I'm going to fight you tonight!
El Rey (King) get back to his feet and gets in Marduk's face again.
Marduk: You think your courageous? Nah, you're stupid! I'll be sure to end your career tonight rookie!
Marduk leaves, being satisfied with what he had done.
The following happened in Japan and therefore is in Japanese. However, the subtitles are in English
Japanese Announcer: This next bout is a Marduk vs Match. Where the match does not end until Marduk wants it to.... In the ring, Marduk's victim for tonight, King!... And his opponent! The one and only! MARDUK!
Marduk makes his way to the ring to these bloodthursty fans cheering him every step of the way.
Ding!
Marduk Immediately goes for a 'shoot' takedown...
But El Rey (king) sidesteps it!
Then hits a huge, and very real roundhouse kick to Marduk taking him down to one knee!....
And a second!....
And a third!....
And follows it up with a very real Piledriver!
Marduk isn't moving. He could have a broken neck...
El Rey (king) then locks in a Triagle Choke! Marduk taps out!
Immediate shock goes through the arena. As the biased crowd has been silenced. El Rey is waiting to be announced the winner. Instead the hectic crowd starts booing and El Rey (King) is hurried out of the arena. After he left, the company made up some BS to save face, saying "The match was never made official by anyone in charge of the company and therefore stricken from the record." After that though Marduk would never be the same again.
El Rey (King) was expecting some type of admiration from his peers for slaying the beast, but he was shunned by everybody.
Michael: What the hell was that?!
El Rey (King): I know he underestimated me!
Micheal: No! I told you to stay off the radar! You really think Mishima Zaibatsu didn't see that?! Don't be surprised if they don't send someone after you, after you took out their prized fighter! Do me a favor from this point forward, pretend you don't know me!
GM: King! Somebody wants to see you in my office! NOW!
Michael: Shit... Remember, you don't know me!
King El Rey snaps out of it!
