"Man, I look ridiculous....."

I definitely wasn't wrong. As I stood there staring at myself in the mirror, I wondered if Lux felt as stupid as I looked. They say to beat the enemy you have to think like the enemy, so I was doing just that: pretending to be a guy who thought they were a girl.

I was as far into the role as I could get. It wasn't just the eye shadow, the mascara that made me look like a parody of my War Games teammate Rain, or even the pink dress I had on. No, underneath the dress I was wearing a bra that was slightly too big for my manboobs, AND a thong that was so far up my ass I didn't know if it'd ever escape the cavern of my buttcheeks. And the worst part was, I didn't feel any better than Lux than I had BEFORE dedicating myself to the act.

"Well, so much for that plan......."

After a great deal of time, I managed to wash the makeup off my face and change out of the women's clothing I wasted a good chunk of my paycheck on. It was worth it in my eyes if it gave me any sort of advantage over the TV Champion, unfortunately it just didn't work. I should've realized this, as Lux didn't come off as the type of 'girl' who would wear dresses and get nice and made up for prom. No, Lux was more the type to look like that 'mom' who flipped out at Gamestop for calling them sir.

I sat down in front if the TV and turned it on. It had been a few days since my interview and I hadn't heard anything on Lux's part. As I stopped on XWF's 24/7 channel, I thought about the main curiosity for looking for the next Lux promo: the match type. It was announced that Lux would state the stipulation for our bout and ever since then, I had wondered what kind of match I would be taking the TV Title in.

After a few minutes of sitting through Lacklan bitching about everything and Centurion putting down my War Games team, I finally got to Lux sitting at poolside. I watched intently, listening to the pointless banter at first, until I finally got to hear Lux ramble about me. As I watched and heard the things that were being said, I could feel my face turning bright red with anger. There was alot of nonsense, as I expected, but sprinkled into that were the same kind of ignorance and stupidity I would expect from a Trump supporter.

Finally, Lux shut up and the screen went black. I just sat there in complete disbelief. There was so much I wanted to say in response, alot of points I could very easily discredit and contradict. Even though it may seem petty, there was no way I could contain my feelings to simple thoughts inside of my head.

I walked over to my nightstand and grabbed my cellphone. As I dialed the number to management, my hand shook with every number I pressed. I would never admit it, but Lux got in my head a bit. It wasn't a matter of them being right, or even the fact that Lux felt like I didn't stand a chance, at War Games OR Saturday. The thing that bothered me was how much Lux could spew out complete bullshit out in the open, where everyone could hear. With the way this country has become, it's a very dangerous thing to just ignorantly spout out whatever you're thinking, considering there's ALOT of people who won't think twice about fact checking anything.

"Hi," I greeted the person on the other end. "This is Big D, I just wanted to check and see about something...... There's a live event tonight, right?"

Thankfully there was, and it wasn't very far from my hotel. I got myself dressed, in my in-ring attire as opposed to the dress and makeup, and headed down for my car. It was a scary thought that I would be out on the road in the emotional state I was in, but all I could do was keep reassuring myself I would be remedying the situation soon enough.

I couldn't have arrived at the stadium soon enough. The drive seemed like an eternity, despite it only being about an hourish. It felt so much longer as I kept replaying everything Lux had said. Every sentence, every single word that was said on repeat. Over and over again, non-stop. I was definitely ready to go speak MY mind to that piece of shit.

I wasted little time exiting my car and making my way to the guerrilla position. There was no stopping for fans, no chitchat with the wrestlers backstage. It was all business from here on.

I arrived behind the curtain to a familiar face: Steve Sayors. He looked rather frightened to see me there, apparently the person I spoke with on the phone left him in the dark.

"W-what are y-you doing here?" he asked, trying to look happy to see me. He was quite a shitty actor.

"I'm going on, tell them to cue my music," I demand.

"You'll have t-to wait," Sayors squeaked. "There's a match going on." I looked from Steve around the backstage area, my eyes stopping on a folded steel chair against the wall.

"Try and stop me......" I state, walking over to the chair and picking it up. As I turned back to go through the curtain, Steve Sayors was curled up into a ball crying. I ignored him and walked out onto the entrance way, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd.

I made my way down the aisle, ignoring things fans yelled at me. This was one of those moments that felt like everything was in slow motion. The two wrestlers in the ring were locked up and didn't notice me. As I got to the ring, I noticed something that seemed rather ridiculous: the two men fighting in the ring were none other than the two jobbers who tried to let me in their losing sorority. I never realized jobbers could wrestle each other, but they were both about to be on the losing end anyway.

I hit the first one in the back with the chair and he went down, releasing his hold on the other guy. Before he could realize what was happening, I absolutely SMASHED the other competitor on the skull with my weapon, busting him wide open. As he used the rest of his energy to roll to the outside, the first one was to his feet attempting a dropkick to me. Easily, I blocked his feet with my chair and hit him in the back as he went to the ground. I tried to hit him again, but his bloodied friend reached in and dragged him out of the ring. Since all I wanted was a clear ring, I didn't bother chasing after them. I walked over and asked for a mic, before heading to the center of the ring and opening the chair. Without caring about the blood all over the seat, I set the chair down and sat in it.

"Lux, you seemed pretty shocked to find out I actually CARE about winning your TV Title," I began, focused on the mat of the ring. "Well let me tell you something about myself that you, and the rest of XWF might not know. Before I was a backyard wrestling trampoline federation World Champion, as you so kindly put it, I was basically a more intelligent EDWARD. I wanted to leave my mark on the business, and the best way I knew how was by winning whatever championships I was allowed to compete for. I would list every title I ever won for you, but considering you'd just discredit them, why waste my breath?"

"I came here to leave the same mark on XWF that I have everywhere else I've been apart of. So far, I've only been able to win 24/7 championships, an accolade no-one would call such. But to me, every title matters. In my eyes, being any sort of champion means you are at the very least better than all the non-champions. And your title is no different, Lux, only it's better than anything I've accomplished here so far."

"While you may point to one of my other 'accomplishments' of beating Vita Valentine, I remind you that I only speak facts. As I've told other opponents of mine, I will give credit where it is due and not when it isn't warranted. Well, Lux, I don't want your 'gimme' of beating someone who defeated you in their first match. I don't NEED it, nor do I even agree with it. Had it been just me and Vita in that ring and I pulled off the victory, I WOULD be bragging about it. But as I'm a logical person, someone who likes to look at things for how they are, I can't help but point out that Apocalypse was also a participant in that match. And while I would be willing to toot my own horn over beating TWO people in one match, I can't take all the credit for pinning Valentine. She wasn't just worn down by me, she was also battered and beaten at the hands of the third member of the match. So, Lux, you can take your gimme and shove it up your ass!"

I make a shove it gesture and the fans pour in with a chorus of boos. It didn't matter to me, I knew everything that came out of my mouth was true. All of the past, and the future.

"And now that we've cleared up that I only speak in truths," I began. "Let me address your ridiculous 00C multiverse defense...... Quite the clever man-girl you are. I know something like that will go over the fans head, but I'm sure the boys in the back got a kick out of it. I'll tell you what, Lux, that can be YOUR gimme. I know what I know, but if you wanna be that way about it, fine......"

I pause for a moment, rising to my feet. I walk over to one of the corners and lean against the top turnbuckle as I continue.

"Just know this," I say with the type of smirk a conniving little asshole would have. "When you DO lose your title, Saturday night to be exact, and you DON'T show up for the next event........ these fans will know which of us is truly right......"

"And speaking of alternate universes, I find it sad that your defense for what I saw is it HAD to be some other reality. Lux, let me tell you something, there isn't an alternate universe in existence that I DON'T walk away with your TV Title! The fact of the matter is I DO want your belt, just like you want height. The difference is, I'm actually DOING something about it! If you really want to be taller, then go do it! Take some pills, do some old school torture rack stretching, whatever it takes! Because I'm not some wuss like you who goes 'waaaah, I want this and need it handed to me', no, I'm working for it! Always have been, always will be. You may not see it, but when I'm not around the XWF I'm training and studying like a true World Champion. Because I may talk alot and say things that get under people's skin, but I back it up as well."

"And speaking of backing things up, you don't seem to believe me about the way I lost my Heavymetalweight Championship. Now, I'm not sure which reign you are questioning, but I'll lay down the law on both of them. At the time Kid Fool pinned me, I realized it wasn't worth holding a lowly title just to worry about getting attacked at any moment. While Mastermind may get off to that, I certainly do not. So I told him he could have it, and didn't kick out. I would tell you to go ask him, but one of my 'shitty' War Games team members murdered him....."

The Kid Kool fans boo his demise, which I laugh at.

"I later decided any gold was better than none, so I won the title back. That's when you came along. While I commend your ability to catch me off guard, there's no denying that your pinball was an illegal one. There's no ands, ifs, or buts about it. Unless you signed some other type of contract than me, the rules CLEARLY state that we may only hold ONE singles title at a time. I read that rule VERY clearly, because I remember hating everything about it. But here I am, in a position where I can take the TV Title from you and then win three matches to become Hart Champion, as well. And nobody is gonna tell me I can't do that, because they'll have a lawsuit on their hands in a heartbeat."

"Lux, this match is too important for me to lose. I hear the wrestlers talking about the Superstar of the Month and I hear names like Ned Kaye, Tony Santos, and you constantly. No-one mentions Big D. They don't talk about the guy who used two moves to put Mingermind down, the one who beat Vita Valentine and Apocalypse at the same time. My name isn't mentioned by a single soul despite the fact I went from almost being ran out of the XWF, 8th place on the TV Title rankings, to a three match win streak AND TV Title Number 1 Contender. The man who is also 2 matches away from a Hart Title shot. It's fine, though, I don't NEED to be this month's Superstar. Because next month I'm winning the TV Title, defending it every Savage, becoming #1 Contender for the Hart Championship, AND leading a War Games team that's going to earn me yet ANOTHER title shot, THE title shot. And after all of that, no-one will be able to deny that Big D IS a superstar. Not just of a month, but 24/7. And that ain't no story, it's the Cold, Big D Truth!!!!!"

As "Falling Apart" by Trust Company begins over the PA system, I tossed my mic into the crowd. I exited the ring, knowing I said everything I needed to say. Lux had pissed me off, gotten me riled up, but I managed to get myself back down to earth. While it was simple for someone to make dick jokes about my name, something that NEVER happened in any of the other 'trampoline feds', I knew they were the words of a desperate champion.

Lux was good, I would never be able to deny that. They might eve BE Superstar of the Month. But that month was almost over, and a new star was ready to emerge. Even if nobody, fan or wrestler, believed in me, I certainly did. And in the end after everything I HAVE accomplished, XWF or otherwise, that was all I needed to get anywhere I needed to go.
