GORO? Sounds like he's on the wrong show. I'll go with Drezdin lol I just hope Drezdin can add some length and add more material to his RPs. Fontanna - vs - Mr. Kaleidoscope No Holds Barred Match Have to go with my boy in the DA even tho I like Mr. K's tights. Ghost Tank Reeve Gordon - vs - Rebecca Lewis Tom Griff Tornado Tag Team Match Instead of guessing who wins, I predict only 1 person from the whole match will RP. I just don't know which one it will be. Won't be Reeve tho, which is sad because back in the day when Reeve posted for his matches he was really good. Oni Kymiku - vs - The Hired Gun Steel Cage Match OOC: Other Stipulation Decided Upon by The Hired Gun in 1st RP Hired Gun. Oni doesn't seem too invested lately and Hired Gun has a big dick I guess. Krazy Klown - vs - Roman M. Wulfrun Finisher Finale Match Could go either way but I feel like Krazy Klown will bring more relevance, getting him the win. I like Roman but he tends to stray off a little too much and gets caught easily. Hannah Warr - vs - Alexander Aries TLC Match Aries the god of Warr? Robbie Bourbon - vs - Austin Fernando Buried in Shit Match I'll go for my guy who I think thinks he might be in the DA, RB. If he drops a video that involves shit he should win by default because that would be boss. MAIN EVENT Tag Team Championship Lux Lyden - vs - Trax Singles Match GUEST REF: Justice Drake (Thunderbolt X) Ref can RP, submit spots/strategies/etc to try and sway match, and fend off attackers! Close call but I feel Lux is more well rounded. He's probably the best story teller in xwf right now and already proved he can hang with Trax's top notch trash talk. I really hope they rape Drake tho! ![]() MAIN EVENT XWF Hart Championship Maverick © - vs - The God of Emptiness - vs - Peter F'n Gilmour Three-Way-Dance Maverick might have loose bowels but his RP game is tight. He seems to really get how an rp should flow and always keeps my interest when I read his work. If Frodo was playing Frodo I'd pick him but GoE/Pest just doesn't have the same pow. re:Madness Gold Week Predictictions - Prof. Bobby Bourbon - 08-25-2015 I'll be holding off on videos, for now at least. They don't really seem to be doing me any favors as RPs; I'm delivering Strawberry Shortcake and not Meat and Potatoes. Goro, though I'm rooting for Drezdin Kaleidoscope Tank and Reeve Hired Gun Krazy Klown Aries Rooting for my fictional character to not be covered in feces Trax (TOUGH call in my book, but Trax's smack talk is godly) Gilly Madness Gold Week Predictictions - Peter Fn Gilmour - 08-25-2015 Drezdin Fontanna Rebecca/Griff Hired ![]() Roman Hannah Robbie Trax in a very close match The Hart Title match will be very interesting to watch.. trust me Madness Gold Week Predictictions - Ghekre Feder - 08-25-2015 *** All my picks are going by the assumption that everybody is going to show up and bring their A game. I'm rather blunt and hope nobody takes offense. I think these threads should be more than just a random guessing game. *** Drezdin -- in this case because I never heard of Goro or saw him post a single thing anywhere so I have no real material to go by. Mr. Kaleidoscope -- from what I've read he has strengths in all areas and is a blast to read. Ghost Tank and Reeve Gordon -- again because I have no written material to go by for their opponents and I'm going by the assumption both of these guys will show up at their best; don't let me down or I'll stab a pencil through your tongues! (j/k.. maybe) Hired Gun -- sometimes you can tell just by a guy's random trash talking outside of RPing that they're going to be gold, and this guy is fun as hell to read. Can't wait to see his full roleplays and see what stipulation he comes up with for the match. I'm really looking forward to this one. Roman M. Wulfrun -- I've seen some very promising work from him although I'll admit this is a close call because Krazy has a lot of potential too. Work harder on relevance, point for point debate and trash and you've got it. Hannah Warr -- I have been rather impressed so far. Can't go too in depth here since there's not a whole lot to go by though. Good debut last week. Robbie Bourbon -- I've seen him fluctuate in my time lurking about but again I'm going by assumptions that people are at their best for my predictions. I admit I'm not a big fan of how overly comic booky his stories tend to be but I know others dig it, so it works. He has the skills to pay the bills as long as he can stay relevant enough but not rely too heavily on any one tactic for too long. I've seen him come up with some shit I never would have thought of, not to mention he's a fantastic writer and I think he knows he needs to rebound big time after his last two matches. Watch out because when he finds that perfect groove he's going to be nearly unstoppable. If I could make a suggestion to Robbie, it would be to try and tie in more of your story with wrestling and a little less with being an invincible, or nearly invincible superhero -- but again admittedly that might just be my own preference. It just doesn't feel right to see a guy survive a flurry of gunshots unscathed but then be hurt by people in a wrestling ring. A hardened, relentless ripper of their opponent's material would have a field day with that, comparing scenes from your past RPs to scenes from your matches and breaking down the Robbie character possibly beyond repair. I've seen it done to a past character of mine, so I know. lol Lux Lyden -- being that I know what judges look for, he'll take it despite Trax' well deserved support in this thread. Trax' trash talk will undoubtedly be more witty, will sound more like a real wrestler, and is always a pleasure to read but you can just tell Lyden knows exactly what to bring as a whole. Lyden will take the advantage in the other highly weighted categories and in point for point debate which overrides wittiness in my experience. If I could make a suggestion to Lyden, it would be to make sure you don't stray too far from relevance as your story continues to develop. It feels sometimes like the XWF is an afterthought; you're right at the critical edge where you still bring the relevance when needed but be careful you don't accidentally cross any further into that void or it will hurt you. If I could make a suggestion to Trax, it would be to proof read your work for typos, missing spaces and other punctuational errors, and to stick more with witty trash talk and less with trying to explain yourself in your retorts. Sometimes you get side tracked and lose your sharp tongue because you're spending too much time explaining actions and whatnot instead of ripping into a guy. Side note: Justice Drake will play no role at all other than a punching bag regardless of what Trax and Lyden decide to do. Side side note: If staff needs somebody to murder Drake, hit me up. lol Maverick -- again, knowing the judging here Maverick has this one hands down if he brings his all. He will hit it out of the park with his story and character development while staying relevant the entire time and then laying his foes to rest with some solid trash talk. He'll also probably win any debating that goes on. To be truthful I don't see Maverick losing his title anytime soon. Gilmour might do something so unintentionally humorous that he could get lucky, but it's unlikely. Seems like Gilmour's a real wild card here sometimes but again going by the expectation of A game, Maverick has this. If I could make a suggestion to Peter Gilmour, it would be to break up some of those big rants you go on with some actions and descriptions. Sometimes your trash talk seems too much like an endless voice over instead of watching a scene. If I could make a suggestion to Pest, it would be to proof read before you post and check for things like missing words and try to make your writing feel less rough around the edges by adding more punctuation. I'd also suggest spending a little more time sometimes on scenes and details rather than just straight trying to unfold a story if you know what I mean. Become more of an artist, less of a script writer. Yes this was a predictions thread but I used it for a little more than that. My bad. :) My suggestions and criticism are based on extensive roleplaying and judging here and in other feds I participate in, so I hope someone benefits from what I've said today. If anybody ever wants any direct feedback feel free to hit me up anytime; I enjoy it. Madness Gold Week Predictictions - Prof. Bobby Bourbon - 08-25-2015 Well, I used to have stuff that actually made the bulletproof thing make sense, but I get what you're saying. On that note, I look forward to Fern ripping Robbie a new one fueled by the comments here. re:Madness Gold Week Predictictions - Mr Killjoy - 08-25-2015 (08-25-2015, 11:25 AM)Ghekre Feder Said: If I could make a suggestion to Trax, it would be to proof read your work for typos, missing spaces and other punctuational errors, and to stick more with witty trash talk and less with trying to explain yourself in your retorts. I get everything you said to me besides this really, I mean, if an opponent brings up a point or asks a question, and I don't explain how they're wrong or answer said question, wouldn't that essentially be me ignoring their statement hence possibly losing points, I always thought a good defensive was just as good as a good offensive. If you don't mind, give me an example where I explained too much rather than trash talk, genuinally curious if it'll help me improve my RPs. Madness Gold Week Predictictions - Ghekre Feder - 08-26-2015 @Robbie Even if he does there are ways to turn around his turnaround right back in your favor. I didn't point out anything that most seasoned rpers don't already know and if anything now you're even more prepared just in case he does go that route. Just remember what Abigail said though -- don't let him lay on you or he wins right there. Lol sorry had to. @Trax Yeah I was talking about this past week when I mentioned that last point. You should never flat out ignore verbal attacks, true, but don't get caught up sounding too much like you're explaining yourself in court or to an authority figure rather than having fun shooting down their BS and ramming it right back down their throat with killer style. The way it was always explained to me is if you slip up and then the other guy calls you out on it, that right there multiplies your slip up exponentially. re:Madness Gold Week Predictictions - Rebecca Lewis - 08-26-2015 Drezdin - vs - Goro Singles Match Fontanna - vs - Mr. Kaleidoscope No Holds Barred Match Ghost Tank Reeve Gordon - vs - Rebecca Lewis Tom Griff Tornado Tag Team Match Not doing mine :p Oni Kymiku - vs - The Hired Gun Steel Cage Match OOC: Other Stipulation Decided Upon by The Hired Gun in 1st RP Krazy Klown - vs - Roman M. Fontanna - vs - Mr. Kaleidoscope No Holds Barred Match If he keeps up his work, despite the OOC issue, I think he'll have no issue winning. Fontanna has improved a lot, and has caught my eye in a big way. Ghost Tank Reeve Gordon - vs - Rebecca Lewis Tom Griff Tornado Tag Team Match This one comes down to the pairing, and I think Rebecca Lewis might have gotten a better partner than Tank did. Oni Kymiku - vs - The Hired Gun Steel Cage Match OOC: Other Stipulation Decided Upon by The Hired Gun in 1st RP Gun reminds me of someone, and if they keep reminding me of this person, it won't be long until they're fully dominating. Krazy Klown - vs - Roman M. Wulfrun Finisher Finale Match Relevance is key, but I doubt that McSkiddle will avoid being relevant enough that he can't pull a win out. Hannah Warr - vs - Alexander Aries TLC Match This one is going to be close, but I smell a hedge win from Hanna. Robbie Bourbon - vs - Austin Fernando Buried in Shit Match This one for me comes down to which Austin we see. As people have noticed, I'm sure, there have been three waves of Austin thus far. The young upstart Austin who was solid af, and even when he lost did extremely well. Then we had Defiance Austin, which was more grounded, and had seemed to have found his groove. Then we hit New Austin, which is more of a wildcard with a CoD addiction. If he stays with New Austin, I imagine Robbie will win, barely. If he goes back to the first two, it'll go to Austin. And now the... DOUBLE MAIN EVENT! MAIN EVENT Tag Team Championship Lux Lyden - vs - Trax Singles Match GUEST REF: Justice Drake (Thunderbolt X) Ref can RP, submit spots/strategies/etc to try and sway match, and fend off attackers! Neither, Trax is a pragmatist, and Lux is up for chaos with his teammate. I think they'll partner up and destroy TBX. Then go on to keep the titles for a while. MAIN EVENT XWF Hart Championship Maverick © - vs - The God of Emptiness - vs - Peter F'n Gilmour Three-Way-Dance I won't vote there, I refuse, but I will say that I believe this should be Maverick's finest moment, thus far. Win or Lose, he's been on point, and I think the idea of facing me will push him IC wise, due to Pest and his history. Peter will of course push him with his ridiculous, and successful, brand of shit talk. Peter needs to show up with his A++ game, and I think he can do it. I suspect this will be a really good match, and I hope everyone involved enjoys it. Actually, I think it should be a good show all around. |
