Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Caroline O'Hara Burchill - 12-27-2014 I'm sure everyone has seen on the Youtube comment section and on social media all of the many wrestling fans posting the #PushCesaro hastags. However, I will be honest: I'm not on board the Push Cesaro Express. Sure, he is talented and I do actually like him, but I just don't really see why everyone wants Cesaro to be heavily pushed. Besides, once and if Cesaro does receive the push that everyone has been pleading and begging for, a lot of fans will be ready to scream at the top of their lungs "OVERRATED!". It's quite a pattern, actually: A very talented wrestler receives a push and everyone quickly labels them as overrated. Just like how Charlotte will probably be pushed heavily once she moves on up to the main roster. Many fans are praising her now but once WWE gives her a major push then those same fans will just roll their eyes and begin bashing her for being overrated when those are the same fans that have been dying to see her get a major break. Anyway, why should the WWE even push Cesaro? What is it exactly about Cesaro that makes fans go ape shit for him to get pushed? I don't know, he has excellent in-ring ability, but other than that I don't see him going up for being the WWE champion. Just my humble opinion. Why should WWE push Cesaro? - TJ Wallace - 12-27-2014 Fuck WWE, nuff said. Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Vincent Lane - 12-27-2014 What happens is, everyone watching WWE (or anything, really) decides they could book it better. Sure, we don't know everything that goes on backstage, but we can do better, dammit. Cesaro is great in the ring and I like watching him go. He also has the personality of a stick. It works great in an environment like NXT, where the whole show is about having good matches, but the main WWE stuff is bigger than that, and, regardless of what we would like to see, the people buying tickets to the show want to see what it is they are seeing. The kids want to see Cena be Cena and the bunny hopping around. Dumbass rednecks like to see divas rolling around in their underwear and chanting USA! for no reason. They care about seeing the big spots and the trademark moves, the same way people who go to concerts typically just want to hear the hits. They could do some stuff better, but there's a place and an audience for what they do. re:Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Caroline O'Hara Burchill - 12-27-2014 Sadly... Super Cena will always get the attention. However, those who actually possess talent (Xavier Woods, Nattie, Rollins, Emma, Naomi, etc.) will either become jobbers or never will receive the push that they greatly deserve. If I were a NXT talent, I would be absolutely mortified if the management decided to move me on up to the main roster. Not that most of the main roster talent sucks, but it's because anyone who was brought up from the development to the roster , just like aforementioned wrestlers, will never get the opportunity to truly shine and show everyone the exemplary talent that they have. Instead, most would prefer to watch Omega Cena Over 9000, celebrity guests, the dreadful acting of the Bellas and the blandness of Paige. re:Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Vincent Lane - 12-27-2014 Paige was on NXT less than a year ago. Every wrestler on NXT would rather be on Raw, I guarantee it. If the only thing they wanted was to be respected for being good in the ring, they'd all live in Japan. re:Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Caroline O'Hara Burchill - 12-27-2014 The puroresu talent never fail to amaze. I saw a match with David Hart Smith/Davey Boy Smith , Jr. against Kazuchika Okada and the match was great. Smith really showcased his talents in that one. I might even argue that it was his best match ever. Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Vincent Lane - 12-27-2014 Yeah, that's great. He'd rather be on Raw. Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Justin Sane - 12-27-2014 I don't know why ya'll are arguing about this anyway, if anyone should be pushed on ability alone then it is obviously Tyson Kidd. Why should WWE push Cesaro? - TJ Wallace - 12-27-2014 Push The Bunny Why should WWE push Cesaro? - John Samuels - 12-27-2014 John Cena is the best in the world and he should never not be wwe champion. His move set is amazing and he's one of the best technical wrestlers in history, I bet he could even beat Bret Hart but they would never make that match because he was too boring and Cena is better then that. He even beat brock lesnar and big show even though they're bigger than him. Plus he never gives up and has really good tshirts. Cesaro is too hairy to be champion. re:Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Justin Sane - 12-27-2014 (12-27-2014, 10:08 AM)King John II Said: John Cena is the best in the world and he should never not be wwe champion. I am losing the ability to decipher between IC and OOC with you. Brilliant. Why should WWE push Cesaro? - John_Black - 12-27-2014 King John, Don't know if sarcam or just being obvious... I haven't been watching much WWE programming lately. But since Cesaro was a US Champ and even winning that Throphy in Wrestlemaina, maybe he shouldn't be pushed to the moon since most good people like him would get bitched out by the IWC. Look at Cena, people complain on him, and still he gets shit loads of cheers/boos under him. Yes, the man is overrated as hell, but if you think about it, he's Vince's merchandise King who puts in mad time for the company. Maybe Cesaro isn't like the Super Cena, but who can easily gets praised for his in ring work in Japan or Mexico. Just my two cents. Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Vincent Lane - 12-27-2014 Cena actually is very good at wrestling. He just doesn't do it often. His matches when he first came in were great. Even last year he had a good one with Cesaro. The biggest pops Cesaro got were for his swing - the least believable thing he does. Him as US champ didn't matter, the battle royal thing didn't help him, and even having Heyman did nothing for him. I love the guy, but they did give him a pretty decent push with really no return. People want to see all these great indie workers walk in the door and immediately start running things, but that's never how it's worked. Give them time. WWE does build their talent eventually. Rollins, Ziggler, Ambrose, Wyatt and Rusev are all hugely over right now in one way or another, and all are talented. re:Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Caroline O'Hara Burchill - 12-27-2014 Am I the only one that wants Cena to go back to his Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick? Some fans are saying that Cena should turn heel, which I whole heartedly agree with. God, he has been a face for what, ten years now? He is loooong overdue for a heel turn. Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Vincent Lane - 12-27-2014 The best scenario I've seen for Cena is if it turned out he was th bad guy pulling the Authority's strings for a long time. It would explain why he always gets everything he wants no matter what. The problem there though is that he's gotten to that huge character point where it would potentially be devastating to stop selling as much Cena merchandise and getting all the love from the kids and such. Same how Hogan was back in the early 90s. We haven't gotten to the point where nobody wants him to win, you know? Just those of us who've been watching for a long time. The younger ones all love him. What they are doing now is actually a pretty good idea. The NXT show provides real wrestling fans with a show they want to see, and it's on the network which they need people to buy. The people who buy tickets and just go for the glamour and big time feel watch Raw and Smackdown, and so do the kids. It really pretty much works out. Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Justin Sane - 12-27-2014 I agree with Lane, the market for the younger kids with Cena is just way too big for the WWE to risk at the moment. I'm sure they'd love to do a flip with him as a heel and Randy Orton as a face (which is imminent anyway, obviously), but from a business standpoint it's just not a viable option at the moment. I think they are doing a good job of building their main event roster at the moment. Guys like Wyatt, Rollins, Ambrose etc. are all going to be considered legitimate World Championship threats in the coming months. They need that 6-8 upper echelon, like when the had Austin, Rock, Taker, Angle, Triple H. They were all mega stars and I think they are pacing these current guys well and making sure they have that really solid crop incoming. Why should WWE push Cesaro? - Peter Fn Gilmour - 12-27-2014 cena really needs to turn heel NOW because he sux on the mic and his matches are boring.. cesaro should be world champ by now.. his new team with tyson kidd could be good but i dont see it getting him anywhere.. |
